ACT NOW TO MINIMIZE THE ESTATE TAX

ACT NOW TO MINIMIZE THE ESTATE TAX

If your total estate is between $4 and $15 million, then you need to speak to an estate planning attorney as soon as you possibly can. If you do not act before the end of 2012, then your estate is likely to face unwanted estate tax issues. An Estate Planning attorney can help you minimize issues with the estate tax.

No one knows for certain what the estate tax will be in the future. All that can be said for certain is that it will change in 2013 and that the exemption will likely be drastically lower. The best solution to minimize estate tax issues after this year is to pass away before the end of the year. Fortunately, most people will not do so and you should not plan to be one of those who does. An estate planning attorney can help you come up with other, better and wiser solutions for your unique situation.

No one wants to pay the estate tax. When given the option, most people would much rather give their assets to their loved ones than to the government. If you do not act by the end of the this year, then the option will be taken away from you. Talk to an experienced estate planning attorney about what you need to do.
